WAEC Announces the Winners of National Distinction/Merit Awards

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), announced the winners of the National Distinction /Merit Award for the May/June 2015 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Lagos, yesterday. 
The winners are:
Babalola David Oluwasayo (first)
Alabi Philip Toluwase (second)
Nkata Lewechi Ugonma (third).

The winners were announced during its 54th Annual Meeting of Nigeria National Committee of WAEC held in Agidingbi, Lagos.

The Head of WAEC stated that:
Babalola David Oluwasayo who took first scored 673,7626 and currently, he is studying Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ibadan and he did his secondary school at Oritamefa Baptist Model School, Ibadan, Oyo State.

On his part, Alabi scored 667,1802, making him the second. Currently, he is studying Medicine and Surgery and he had his secondary school education at Our Lady and St Francis Catholic College, Osogbo, Osun State.

Nkata in eight subjects scored 660,2430 to emerge third. He is currently studying Chemical engineering at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. She schooled at Loyola Jesuit College, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja
